Spectra by Comcast Spectacor Employees at Duke Energy Convention Center Becomes Certified Tourism Ambassadors

Cincinnati – Sixty one Spectra by Comcast Spectacor employees at the Duke Energy Convention Center successfully completed the Certified Tourism Ambassador certification class this summer.

“With the DECC welcoming over 700,000 visitors to the city, we wanted to ensure that the staff could enhance our guests’ experience and promote the already positive perception of Cincinnati,” said Spectra’s Ric Booth, General Manager.

Spectra provides both Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality to the Duke Energy Convention Center. Participants discovered vital information on the City of Cincinnati including a thorough history of the city and a breakdown of area attractions, restaurants and activities based on location. Tips and ideas were given to help leave visitors to the area with a positive lasting impression of Cincinnati.

Upon completion of a written exam, graduates were presented with a certificate and CTA pin, a credential that identifies CTAs to visitors. Participants are also granted access to various CTA events and offers to help them stay on top of the latest restaurants, businesses and activities as the city continues to grow.

The international program is recognized by the travel and tourism industry and has been implemented by over 16 states. The CTA network consists of hospitality employees, volunteers, executives and community members that are committed to making visitor encounters positive experiences.
