Duke Energy Convention Center Sales Manager Recognized as an Agent of Change

Peter Barton nominated as a young industry leader by Connect Faith Magazine.

Cincinnati, OH - Spectra by Comcast Spectacor is pleased to announce that Peter Barton, Religious and Corporate Sales Manager at the Duke Energy Convention Center, has been recognized as an “Agents of Change” industry leader by Connect Faith Magazine.

The “Agents of Change” (formerly 40 under 40) award honors young industry leaders who have earned the recognition from their peers and the media. Young professionals within the faith-based meetings industry are nominated by their peers and then are evaluated by the publications editorial team based on resources like industry involvement and personal references. Barton is one of 12 nominees chosen.

Barton has more than 10 years of experience working in the hospitality industry beginning in Ireland where he worked for five-star hotels. Since relocating to the Cincinnati area, Barton joined the team at the DECC and has since generated over $2 million in revenue for the center.

“We could not be more proud that Connect Faith Magazine has chosen one the DECC’s own as an ‘Agent of Change’” said Spectra’s, Ric Booth, General Manager, Duke Energy Convention Center. “He has been a true asset to Spectra and Cincinnati; definitely an agent of change.”

Barton will be recognized in front of his peers during Connect Faith Marketplace conference in Orlando October 25-27, 2016.
